Hi all

I somehow blew up my blog (am a hobbyist).

So followed the instructions to download the backed up mysql database then reinstalled it (after dropping the tables in the live version).

All worked successfully except each post has been truncated after a few lines.
I checked the database:

Table: WP_Posts
Field: post_content (type longtext, collation utf8_general_ci)

Each post from the restore version has been cut from 1000-5000 words to around 220 characters. It's truncated every single post.

Any ideas on how I restore again and ensure all the data returns. The steps I followed are:

Clicked "Databases" and selected the database I use.
Dropped each existing table
Clicked the Import tab.
Selected the file (had downloaded the backed up version from Powweb and then zipped with GUI Tar to a gz file) and made sure SQL was selected in the Format drop-down menu.
Clicked the Go button.
