With Filters and Action you can do almost everything with posts data and data displayed in frontend or dashboard. That's really powerful tools. Note that WP itself doesn't contain any tools to work with your tables. But it has wpdb class https://codex.wordpress.org/Class_Reference/wpdb. Using it with Filters and Action can help you solve any tasks.
