m3110w on "[Plugin: The Events Calendar] integrate with custom mysql database"

Hi, I did a search on this and didn't find anything. I want to link TECal to my custom mysql database without writing a bunch of php. Can TECal or TECalPro write data to and read data from a custom mysql database? If not, is there a plugin or addon that can do this? Or is custom php the only way to do this? Thanks,
