Hi,
We've had a WP site for several years. Over time the db has accumulated a lot of tables and entries from plug ins that we no longer use and now it feels rather sluggish and heavy. Especially there were some really badly coded plugins which have probably left a lot of crap attached to our posts.
I am thinking of creating a fresh database and moving over only the essentials (users, posts) to it. I am prepared to reinstall and set up all plug-ins, but I am not sure which is the best way to go about it. Would it be via MySQL or would the import/export WP tool work just fine?
Or perhaps should I move the whole db first, and start dropping unused tables instead?
