I have this identical websites (more than 10), one for a specific territorial region so all of them have the same structure, same design (some variations on the widgets), same everything except for domain and contents. Some of them medium traffic (500,000-1MM page views a month), some of them low traffic (<500,000 pv/m) some high traffic (more than 2 million pv/m). Content all together should be around 600,000 to 700,000 entries and rising at around 50,000 a month. Right now they all share the same server with individual installs.
The idea of having to maintain only one install and one template is awesome for us but we are not sure on how the DB will handle this. Anyone has any idea of MS DB performance? or any other ideas anyone?
Edit: we now have no issues at all with the server.
