This seems to be a new phenomenon since upgrading my Ubuntu server through apt. I realize it may not be a WordPress issue, specifically. However, since I expect that others may seek out an answer here - and since publishing to WP has thus far been my most-visible problem - I figured I'd start here.
As I stated, since upgrading my Ubuntu server via apt, which if memory serves, included an upgrade to MySQL, I've been getting database connection problems after publishing. The article does publish and once I've restarted the MySQL service, it is visible on the site. But this has been consistent behavior for the last few days.
My mysql.log file is completely blank. It doesn't seem to be registering any problems. My Apache log for the affected site shows a lot of redirect errors, but I suspect this has more to do with WordPress struggling with the database.
Anyone have any clue where to get started fixing this issue? Is anyone else experiencing this same issue?
