Andrzej on "Installation has extra mysql tables"

I'm unsure when this first happened, but my site database has extra tables that are named similar to the default 'wp_' tables. The extra tables names have a 3 character prefix; nqk_options, nqk_posts...

The nqk_options table appears to have default? installation values. While the wp_options table has valid live site values. The table_prefix value at wp-config.php = 'wp_'

Are these extra tables remnants of the default WP installation process or from the one-click installer supplied by my hoster? I have deleted these extra tables with no adverse affect on site operations.

Thanks for your thoughts about this.
