I am running a backup of my files and database to Dropbox and i get the following error:

[15-Dec-2014 09:33:15] WARNING: mysqli::real_connect(): The server requested authentication method unknown to the client [mysql_old_password]
[15-Dec-2014 09:33:15] WARNING: mysqli::real_connect(): (HY000/2054): The server requested authentication method unknown to the client
[15-Dec-2014 09:33:15] ERROR: Cannot connect to MySQL database 2054: The server requested authentication method unknown to the client
[15-Dec-2014 09:33:15] ERROR: Step aborted: too many attempts!

The website is in production and working fine. I can not see any place in the job configuracion to configure the database credentials, so i assume that should be taking the same as wordpress which supposely is connected.

These are the versions i am using at the moment:
[INFO] BackWPup version 3.1.4; A project of Inpsyde GmbH
[INFO] WordPress version 4.0.1
[INFO] Blog url: http://www.nimbusservices.org/
[INFO] BackWPup job: Nimbus Online; DBCHECK+DBDUMP+FILE+WPPLUGIN
[INFO] BackWPup cron: 0 3 * * *; Next: Tue, 16 Dec 2014 @ 03:00
[INFO] BackWPup job started manually
[INFO] PHP ver.: 5.5.6 (64bit); cgi-fcgi; Linux
[INFO] Maximum PHP script execution time is 120 seconds
[INFO] Script restart time is configured to 120 seconds
[INFO] MySQL ver.: 5.5.32-log
[INFO] Web Server: Apache/2
[INFO] curl ver.: 7.22.0; OpenSSL/1.0.1

Any ideas why this could be happening?

Many thanks guys
